ALABAMA DEALER HOLDS SUCCESSFUL OPEN HOUSE

Thompson Lift Truck Company of Birmingham, AL has been inviting customers to a Customer Appreciation “Thank You” event for more than six years and with the support of many equipment manufacturers like Crown, their annual luncheon has grown to welcome in excess of 200 of their local customers each year. At Thompson’s most recent event, attendees were able to get hands-on with the latest Crown trucks while getting a handshake from several members of Crown’s management team who were in attendance. Many Thompson customers were especially appreciative of the opportunity to pose questions directly to Crown personnel. NEW SC 6000 FOUR-WHEEL FORKLIFT
OPENS DOOR TO NEW SALES OPPORTUNITIES

The Crown SC Series of counterbalance forklifts has been expanded with the introduction of the SC 6000 four-wheel model. It features multiple cab options, lift capacities up to 4,000 lbs and a nearzero turning radius that rivals three-wheel counterbalance trucks. It joins the SC 5200, which is still available. The new SC 6000 Series provides three capacity options ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 pounds, with premium features that include:

• Soft staging masts engineered to withstand demanding applications 
•  AC drive motors that provide outstanding performance and long life
•  Optional hard, soft or partial cabin

Made with quality materials, Crown’s filter is engineered to withstand the heavy stresses and constant use that so many applications require. It simply outperforms look-alike filters. While this is true, it can be difficult to “sell” to customers looking to save a few dollars. Now there’s a new tool you can use to graphically illustrate – with side-by-side comparisons – each critical difference. This new Product Reference is available in the Electronic Briefcase on the Partner Extranet site and in the ePortal.

NEW CUSTOMER RESULT NOTES PRODUCTIVITY INCREASES AT HENNINGSEN COLD STORAGE

When Henningsen Cold Storage builds new facilities, it often pushes the envelope in terms of storage height, weight capacity and speed. The company is continually looking for ways to increase productivity and improve safety within its cold storage environment where it houses more than 53 million square feet of product at temperatures ranging from -20 to +60 degrees. 

Henningsen selected the PE 4500 Series with electronic power steering for floor-level work while the RM 6000 Series provided the lift height and capacity it needed in its warehouse. The company actually exceeded its expectations with the products provided by Crown.
